“Meghan is a linoprint artist who devotes all of her time to her craft. She pours sweat and tears into her work, finishing each piece with a drop of blood gouged from her finger tip with her lino tools. Her pieces are personal, macabre…and they aren’t selling at the local art fair. Why can’t people appreciate her work?
She feels above her mundane day job assisting Ali, a painter/decorator who talks too much. When her colleague Poppy’s ‘Paint-It-Yourself!’ pieces of art take the public by storm. Meghan starts to withdraw into herself.
On a date with fellow creative Liam things fall flat and Meghan’s mental state declines further. The gory and graphic images that characterise her work begin to bleed into the real world as she sees blood pouring from her paintings in the gallery. Disconnected from reality and pressure building, a fragile Meghan snaps into action, creating an artwork nobody can ignore.”
