Moan is a sneaky lens into the belly of the film industry, enlivened by a glowing heart of magical realism and softened with a surreal humour. There’s a sense of framing between the inner and the outer world. Of long days, exhaustion, crew knocking down doors, and overstretched actors pushing their patience. But in rehearsal, in the work, this time and space are sacred. And Iris, our director, a firm believer in the mastery of her art - needs to get this right.”
