Let me weep

The music video explores the duality of perception, contrasting appearance with reality, and captivity with freedom. Set to the poignant strains of Handel’s ““Lascia ch’io pianga”“, the narrative reflects the contemporary struggles of refugees and others trapped in both physical and metaphorical forms of captivity. Inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s Prisoners Exercising, René Magritte’s La condition humaine, and Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, the film examines how chains, whether visible or invisible, can distort one’s understanding of reality.
