Blood Rush

Blood Rush is a black and white 16mm film built around a musical composition by Winston Orz. Shot on Kodak 3378 and hand processed using a custom development method created specifically for the project, the film transforms the song’s emotional landscape into a stark visual field of contrast, isolation, and geometric abstraction. Drawing in part from Russian modernist traditions, the work approaches estrangement, obsession, and inner collapse through texture, rhythm, and the physical instability of analog image making.
